We would say that walking football is an excellent way of staying fit and healthy. We at Pafos United have many members that play and have noticed their fitness and health improve. Studies have shown it can be effective in helping stabilise mild and moderate hypertension.
This is a great way to improve your general health and at the same time enjoy a sport that is a little less boisterous. More Importantly the benefits are felt right away while enjoying a meaningful activity and exercise that is more enjoyable than going to a gym!
The WFA aims are to promote and facilitate the playing of Walking Football as a unique amateur and provide knowledge and help to anyone who wants to start playing and help in setting up or running a club.
